Fleet Management

Manages 13 equipment categories (sedan, SUV, pickup, fire apparatus, police vehicle, ambulance, construction, and more) through a full lifecycle: on order → in service → light duty → surplus → disposed. Vehicle checkout enforces CDL class hierarchy — a driver can only check out equipment matching or below their CDL class. Preventive maintenance schedules trigger by miles, hours, or days. Work orders (FWO-YYYY-NNNNN) track materials, labor (with overtime), and equipment costs. Formal inspections (DOT, state safety, emissions, pre/post-trip) are auto-numbered (FIN-YYYY-NNNNN). Analytics include Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), cost-per-mile, fuel efficiency trends (MPG), and department cost allocation. Replacement candidates are flagged when age > 10 years or odometer > 150K miles.
